SocialThe I.C.E. St. Moritz 2027: fly private to the world’s most elegant ice track
29–30 January 2027 · Frozen Lake St. Moritz, Engadine, Switzerland
Every winter, the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz turns into a stage for some of the most beautiful cars ever built. The International Concours of Elegance, known as The I.C.E. St. Moritz, brings classic and exceptional automobiles to the Engadine for a weekend of design, engineering and winter glamour. In 2027 it takes place on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 January.
What is The I.C.E. St. Moritz?
The I.C.E. is a concours of elegance held on the ice. Cars are presented at rest, then driven on the frozen lake, while a jury judges their elegance and engineering. Collectors also vote for their favourite, and class winners are awarded at the end of the weekend. The event grew out of an initiative by Ronnie Kessel and Marco Makaus, and the concours itself was first held in February 2022.
The 2026 edition in numbers
50 cars admitted to the concours, out of a record number of applications from owners around the world.
13,000 tickets sold, deliberately fewer than the roughly 18,000 of the previous edition, to keep the town and the event comfortable.
Two days, from 9:00 in the morning until late afternoon, with laps on the lake, a jury inspection, a parade of the concours cars, a Contemporary Cars Show and an awards ceremony.
Casa Ferrari hosted at the Kulm Country Club for the second year in a row.
Highlights of 2026
The 1937 Talbot-Lago T150C SS “Teardrop” won Best in Show. Other class winners included the Lancia Stratos, the Maserati 4CLT, the Jaguar XJ220 and the Ferrari 750 Monza, while the 1967 Ferrari Dino 206 S received the Spirit of St. Moritz award.
Getting there by private jet
St. Moritz is served by Engadin Airport in Samedan (LSZS), a few minutes from the lake. It is one of the highest airports in Europe:
Runway 03/21: 1,800 m long and 40 m wide
Elevation: about 1,707 m (5,600 ft)
Mountain approach: the airport sits in a narrow alpine valley and has no instrument landing system
Because of the altitude and the runway length, not every aircraft is suited to Samedan. Choosing the right jet matters, and so does planning early, as the event weekend is a busy time for the region.
We are a Swiss private jet broker. For The I.C.E. St. Moritz we can:
recommend aircraft suited to Samedan and to your group size;
arrange one-way flights, round trips and empty legs;
send you a clear offer quickly, with the aircraft and the all-in price;
arrange a car transfer on arrival if you wish.
Your flight is confirmed, and the aircraft blocked, once we have received your payment.
